1967. Silkscreen on Masonite. 32″ x 24″. Pico Studio.
In 1967, these three samples were part of a silkscreen process. This print was the final silkscreen product. Several dozen of this final selection were printed on masonite. The orange was printed over with brown in the final step. I used the lion design for the logo og a Malibu real estate company called PHD, Prentice Hormel Development Corporation. The 32×24 silkscreen was used as our For Sale sign. Despite being set in concrete with steel posts and frames, many of the signs were stilen, it had become a surfer’s collection item.
